Features
Maximum frame style choice
The main profiles used in our Legend PVC-U windows and doors are available in chamfered and ovolo styles. All other components are interchangeable to provide our installers with with an efficient way to offer maximum choice.
Three outer frame sizes
Legend comes in three outer frame sizes in both chamfered and ovolo profiles.
Thermal reinforcements
Legend PVC-U windows and door frames come with a range of four 100% recycled plastic, thermal reinforcement options to choose from.
EnviroCore option
We have combined 30% recycled, lead-free PVC-U with a multi-chambered profile. This brings a lower cost, but high-performing alternative to thermal reinforcements.
Low sightlines
Legend has been designed with low sightline gaskets. This increases the visible glass area and gives your customers a more natural light.
Combined bubble & flipper gasket
Our combined bubble & flipper gasket delivers much superior weather protection.
Structurally sound
We have a range of heavy-duty couplings and expansion mullions available for structural glazing applications. This means that Legend PVC-U windows are a great choice for larger commercial projects too.
Full depth Eurogroove
Thanks to a full depth Eurogroove, there are no restrictions on hardware options when working with our Legend PVC-U windows and doors.
No need for crank handles
Legend accommodates a full 22mm back set espagnolette system. This means there is no need for crank handles.
High gloss finish available
Our high gloss PVC-U finish makes Legend an easy sell to your customers if they’re looking a maintenance-free PVC-U window and door solution.
Decorative options
Our range of decorative options include ‘Sash Horns’ and ‘Arch Inserts’. This means that you can offer more choice from just one PVC-U window and door range.
Easy beading
Legend comes with easy-to-fit single J leg beads. These mean quick and simple glazing on-site. Plus, identical bead and up-stand details provide equal sightlines and improved aesthetics.
Great colour choice
With a choice of three woodgrain and thirteen artisan colours you’ll struggle to find a more versatile PVC-U window and patio door system.
Extra security
Legend has been designed to be extra secure with internally glazed beads and weather-stripped, reinforced PVC-U bars to add additional strength and thermal performance.
Technology
EnviroCore
New: EnviroCore uses 30% lead-free recycled content, with the dual benefit of reducing PVC-U waste without a detrimental impact on quality or thermal performance.
The only difference you will notice is the distinctive dark grey core and 8% heavier material content, giving the product a premium feel.
Multi-chamber
A-rated Legend windows and doors combine multi-chambered PVC-U frame profile, spacer bar and high performance glass where applicable, creating the most thermally-efficient project solution. Multi-chambered profile has been developed as part of continuous improvement allowing the option of steel reinforcement if required.
Thermal reinforcements
The Legend system includes a range of BBA approved plastic thermal reinforcements (PTRs) manufactured from recycled PVC-U. PTRs provide increased thermal performance when compared against steel reinforcing, and can save money on insulated glazing unit specifications (IGU) (conductivity of 0.17 W/m.K for PTR, 50 W/m.K for steel and 160 W/m.K for aluminium).
